Still Monday -
Still sick and both of us still hacking up a lung with each exertion. Truck and trailer not unloaded. Have to do some work on barn pen to keep sheep in. Lambs have discovered ability to get through tiny holes. Then moms scream at them to come back, lambs scream that they can't...
That comment to a child would be construed as "abuse", and the teacher shiuld be reprimanded. Sounds like the teachers in your school district are not what you would want for your kids' education so just as well you are moving.
Transferring from the school that belittles your children to a new...
Most have lambed. Lost one ewe and lamb due to the prepubic tendon rupture. The big single ewe lamb was dead when did the C-section. probably died a day or so before, maybe even when the rupture happened.
Both DH and I are still sick with cold, major bouts of coughing, and general...
Would any of the videos of her threatening you be useful for a Red Flag on her and boyfriend?
About poisoning the well, could you put up game cameras around it to take pix if she and boyfriend tried to get in?
You found your beautiful property and now your joy in it is being destroyed by a...
Isn't that emergency the reason your mama always said to wear nice underwear? lol
Glad she is safe. Sorry about the problems in Trinity County. Those storms are intense. Are you sure you don't want to move back up here? LOL
DH says they call it the "golden years" because it takes all your gold to live thrugh them.
Your DS would have been a good daddy. GF and GFS are lucky he is willing to be a good daddy figure to their kids. He is a good man that way even when pissing you off.
Some of those animals are just...
Still sick but thinking about you all. Both storms o, Thursday hit to east and west of us but we got nothing. :fl First one hit Arbala and the second Winnsboro.
The loss of Bruno is probably upsetting his life too. You could try putting a "drag" on him, but if he is digging out he will just go through the hole and get stuck which would be dangerous for him. Locking him in the night pen is the best for now. Once the ground dries out you can repair...
Made it to Yantis on Saturday evening at dusk. Exhausted and coughed my way across 2 states. DH too. Anyway, we are here and slept in to 6:30 am. Then up and unload, feed bummer lamb, and out to check sheep pen which needed more hog panels on the corral panels. Finished wiring on the stock...
Tagged and vaxed all born up to today ready for shipping. Got CVIs and transport docs ready for Bob. Will leave one set with him and I will have a duplicate set. All docs are on computer so DS1 can download another set if necessary.
Feel horrible. Can only hope for a miraculous recovery...
Sent photos of ewe to vet and she does not have mastitis, what is causing that lopsided looking udder is her pre-pubic tenon that has torn. She may be able to lamb normally but lambs might not be able to get under the belly to nurse. Possibly more bottle babies. Not a good time for this...
Aramis does look steep in that picture, but with the right doe might work. Breed him to several does and if he throws that steep rump consistently let him go.
Definitely have a bottle lamb. The ewe has decided that she doesn't like her pretty little white daughter. She just likes the daughter with the black marks on her head, ears, and feet. Some Katahdin people must have been turning my White Dorpers to the dark side!
DS1 and I went down and...
A couple Christmases ago DS2 got DH a drone. Thought it would be handy for flying over the gully. He could not figure out how to fly it. Our sons uploaded it to his phone and programmed it. They had fun with it. The updrafts from the gully almost made it crash and he wasn't able to figure...
No, I will take a tranquilizer and stay home (Yantis) drinking wine.🤪
The ewes are getting with the program! I checked outside again around 5 pm and nothing. 6:30 DS1 went out to feed and BL14 had a set of split twins out of JR. DS1 came in to get me to go make another jug. DH was...
