100 more bales should be arriving this week. 8 bales gone since this picture.

Pretending to be excited about hay.
Will they like the new stuff? At 12 a bale, they mf better!
$12 a bale! Is that like a 100-120# bale?
Itā€™s double that here.
LOL but I do get excited when we get a shipment in. Thereā€™s nothing like looking at a nice new big stack of alfalfa! Though this last batch here has been quite stemmy- between 10 and 20% loss (sheep wonā€™t eat stemmy stuff).

No. Everyone is a scammer. 45-50# weigh between 35-40 when you weigh it.
Claim its horse quality, 2nd & 3rd cut, 40#, orchard hay. We'll see.
I never bother with alfalfa, unless its pellets, that's just pure waste. Brown and nasty or leaves fall and animals refuse to touch it, most is wasted. Not worth the risk to buy that stuff.

We've been through a lot of fires, some close. Ash in the air and all. We've never "masked up" but have limited outdoor activity to a minimum. Outside chores and done when it's really bad - i.e. ash floating down.
