Ridin' The Range
Hi, all, I have a 2 y.o. doe I purchasec about a month ago, along with her 5 month old FF kids, who were not nursing and mom was dry.
She was not picking up condition, and a fecal egg count was morbidly high. She survived, her fecal egg count recheck was zero, her FAMACHA score is back to normal and she is putting on weight, finally.
So she has been subjected to a wide variety of stressors in the last few weeks: rehome, extreme parasite load, loss of her doeling to a tragic fence sccident, new herd mates.....
Tonight after her dinner I was working with her on some handling/touching desensitization and discovered not just body-wide "dandruff" but white crusties in the hair on the back of her neck and down her spine. Even her eyes had some small, crusty "eye boogers." No temp or nasal discharge. No external parasites *that I could see.*
The closest Google got me to anything that looked like her symptoms was ringworm, but she has no hair loss or lesions.
Suggestions?
